As far as I know, Journey to the Center of time is PD, but wait for Video-Cellar for definitive word. It is or has been available on some PD DVDs, in dollar stores, and on a few budget collections of PD films. I have seen it on DVD from Brentwood, for one.

And Revenge of Dr. X (Double Garden) is available on at least one PD collection from Mill Creek.

Thank God for companies like Mill Creek Entertainment, Alpha Video, St. Clair Vision, and all the other great PD DVD labels. I buy their releases often just to support them and to help keep them in business! Most of my collection came from them, and most of my favorite movies and TV shows have been released by them!

Here comes more nit picking. "Journey" had definite copyright info on USCO, "Argoman" didn't have any but it might have that GATT thing going on. USCO ain't perfect and you can't find info about ALL movies (which I think is a crock) but if you go there and info comes up on a flick, your smart move would be to skip that one. But I'm keeping my fingers crossed that at least "Double Garden" is PD because I've never even heard of that one, which is enough to make me want it. I thought I knew all the titles but that's a new one for me. But then there's one or two more titles on Skybandit's list that are still up in the air so let's see if Video Cellar shoots 'em down.

Better safe than sorry. You can always pick these up on bargain DVDs if nothing else. They're cheap as heck if you look around Amazon.com and their Marketplace sellers. The shelf next to my computer desk is lined up with a dozen of those great Mill Creek 50-Movie Pack boxes...tons of cheap b-movie fun at my fingertips.

Double Garden is aka Revenge of Dr. X, stars James Craig, and is about as bad as a film can get. Sick fun. It's available on the Mill Creek 50 Movie Pack box set called CHILLING CLASSICS.

I'd get some of those except they mostly have stuff that I already have anyway. Like I said, keeping my fingers crossed for "Double Garden". Also, if he does get to upload anything, I hope he posts a "please move" request with links so we can find the stuff easily. IA hasn't moved anything in over two weeks. I think everybody there is taking a hiatus.

Definitely it's nice to be able to download and burn your own home-made discs from the Archive. Heck, I've given copies of b-movies to friends (cheaper than buying multiple copies) and amazingly, they are still friends! :)

Okay, we're off on a tangent again. I'm done.

Thanks for the link, dude. Maybe if it turns out to be ok, Skybandit could post a bigger file than what they got. If not, I'll take what I can get.

Actually, what's on Google is a link to Public Domain Movie Torrents, a great place for free PD flicks. Not of the highest quality, I'm afraid.
Since "The Revenge of Doctor X" has another movie's credits, I've been playing with my NERO to put the right ones back in it. Watch for "Body of the Prey," it's original title, whenever I get it processed.

Here's the direct link to PublicDomainTorrents.com for "Double Garden," or "The Revenge of Dr. X," or whatever the hell its real title is.

http://www.publicdomaintorrents.com/nshowmovie.html?movieid=811

Some insight from a PDT reviewer:

"Yes, for all Ed Wood fans, this was written by the anti-master himself. The last of his screenplays to get produced that wasn't a porn movie. The movie was filmed in Japan (I don't know, looks more like the Philippines to me) in 1970, maybe 1969. Ed's original title was "The Venus Flytrap." This got mutated into "The Devil's Garden," which became (probably through a faulty translation) "The Double Garden," which makes no sense. The "Revenge of Dr. X" title comes from a silly VHS release where the bootlegger slapped on a bogus title. He also added bogus credits which have nothing to do with the movie (and actually are the credits for "Mad Doctor of Blood Island," a film that has nothing at all to do with this one.)"

[Back to me:]Granted, PDT's quality isn't always the best, but we can say that about many offerings on IA, as well.

I downloaded, converted and burned that version, and it looks OK on my TV. Fer cryin' out loud, the movie is hilarious crap, and it's free.
